Why we have
SELECTED THIS WINE
At the southern tip of Burgundy, the Mâconnais region is the place to look at if you want elegant but ripe and richly-textured Chardonnays.

Wine has been produced at Château de Lavernette since the late 16th century but the château remained relatively low-key until Xavier de Boissieu and his Ameri-
can wife Kerrie took over in 2007.
The vineyard has been converted to organic and biodynamic farming since then and is now on its ways to joining the elite producers of Southern Burgundy.
This very-well balanced oaked Chardonnay is one of the gems that can be found in Pouilly-Fuissé.
